You push me away.
So far sometimes, that a timer appears.
A sand timer.
Each grain falls faster the further I go.
Running out of time and out of space to run to.
Then you hand me a life line and I’m back to safety.
I comfort you as you weep.
Forgetting all I can be and know i am, I grasp at the chance to support you.
For if only you could feel, the strength of the particles that disperse when we’re apart.
The force that pushes me away.
All to be counteracted by the strength of your pull.
Back and forth we go, like a pendulum.
