raindrops

As the rain gets heavier, my eyes grow wider, my breathing slows and my heart beat grows. Is this what it’s like?

I find shelter under big oak trees – feeling alive, for once. The bark against my back reminds me I always have something to lean on and the soil clenched between my hands is giving me superpowers.

As the rain gets heavier, my eyes grow wider, my breathing slows and my heart beat grows. Is this what it’s like?

I take in the dusky smell of dampness, something beautiful about it – almost a comforting stench. I inhale too deeply. I can feel my own roots. Seemingly tough, but truly so gentle. Uh-oh. I found some weeds.

As the rain gets heavier, my eyes grow wider, my breathing slows and my heart beat grows. Is this what it’s like?

To be Mother Nature.

Is this what’s it’s like?
